Waiting and Reflecting

From Brianne Greene,

Hi all! I am sitting here in the Chicago airport waiting to get on a flight. While most of you might think that this trip to Chicago has been a delay in our trip, it has been just the opposite. Although this was not in our plans, it turned into an amazing blessing. The blessings of this trip have been beyond what most of us can believe. We were at lunch at Panera today and discussed the way our team has “bonded”. I feel like God has brought us together in a way that only He could. This is only paralleled when we look at what God has done in our situation. The opportunity to tell others what we are doing here, and our reaction to it, has been a huge conversation starter.

Yesterday on the bus ride home I had the opportunity to talk to a man who was on his way to China but had been delayed. When he started asking about our situation in Chicago, he was very impressed at how we have handled the situation. Thus showing us that actions speak louder than words.

Another aspect I failed to understand when we arrived was that this is not a delay, but the beginning of our trip. As Duke said, “Our trip doesn’t start when we reach our destination it begins when we leave the church.” God has been good to us here in Chicago, but believe me we are incredibly excited to finally bored a plane! I guess we will talk to you in Krakow!!
